The Quiet Voice
The initial objective of this site was to sell books. As anyone knows who has put a toe into this perilous water, it is less certain and more dependent on the gods than gambling at a casino. And so the site still remains: I have one published book, Dream Weaver, available on Amazon and Kindle - and another now of essays, Beneath the Turning Stars, also on
Amazon and Kindle - and several others that I will introduce here (see side bars), the purpose being to generate enough interest, if possible, to move on to another adventure in publishing. It is not cheap, and I have never had much luck at gambling. We shall see if persuasion - revelation might be a finer word - works at this particular table!
That said, as I imagined this site, I saw greater possibilities: there is a world of people out there on the Net, and each has his or her own story, each unique. Here, we are not concerned with a specialty, say, of eating a record number of chicken wings, but rather with contact with the divine, the unexplained, and the miraculous. Most important to me would be stories of faith - or comments on my own stories of faith, about which many of my books are concerned. Encounters with the supernatural, as it is currently defined, would also be of interest - of ghosts, special animal spirits, UFO's, startling synchronicities, contact with the "other side," and confrontation with alternative realities that have left their mark. I would expect that some interesting dialogues might be produced by these stories, although with a healthy portion of food for thought. I might add that these comments might also make for an interesting book, although that is not the purpose. That, is to learn - and to encourage awe in an age that attempts by many means to discourage it. Let us see that in this, the ethos of materialistic banality is never successful.
